Nestled in a glacial valley in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains and surrounded by towering pines, Suttle Lake has long been a refuge for its visitors. Evidence left by three volcanic eruptions that blanketed ancient campsites indicates that Native Americans enjoyed Suttle Lake as far back as 10,000 years ago as a place to rest and fish. Traces of their passing are found under layers of ash and cinders.
Come observe the bountiful wildlife around the lodge. Join birdwatching groups and you may see Osprey, Bald Eagles and other birds in their natural habitat. The area is also home to other mammals including deer and otter.
Suttle Lake features a 3.5 mile hiking and biking trail. With one of the local guides you can take in the scenery and learn a little about the natural vegetation and wildlife.
Sisters and the McKenzie River areas offer some of the finest golf in the state. Whether it is a friendly game of 18 holes or a competitive-style tournament we can birdie this event. Private lessons and lunches also available.
